Leaders of the table St. Helens overcame stiff opposition to beat opponents Huddersfield 12-10 to end their touchy start in this tournament.
First and foremost the Saints were not looking too good when they came out on the field owing to their bad luck in the opening matches of the tournament.
Huddersfield knowing this wanted to clear out the game even before it could be started and this intention was greatly remembered when Shaun lunt opened the score sheet for Huddersfield with a marvelous touchdown before Cudjoe added another one to take the match into their hands in the first eight minutes. However as the game progressed individual and concentrated efforts by the Saints enabled them to get into their old form and pull the match from the clutches of the opposition and register a win in their name.
