Nascar Schedule February

NASCAR or ‘The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing’ was set up on 21st February 1948.  This was initiated by William France Sr. in December 1947 when he called together like minded individuals from various racing groups to set up a common platform for car racing events in the United States.

NASCAR sponsors over 1500 races at 100 racetracks across United States and Canada during the months of February through November each year. Since its inception in 1948, NASCAR has grown to three National divisions –

  • NASCAR Sprint Cup Series – where the most important race is the Sprint Cup Series Daytona 500. This series consists of two divisions and each champion is determined on the basis of points
  • NASCAR Nationwide Series is the minor league
  • NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is the third division

There are some changes made to the 2011 NASCAR schedule [1].  One alteration is that Subway Fresh Fit 600 at Phoenix International Raceway is made only of 500 kms resulting in a name change to Subway Fresh Fit 500.

Another change in the NASCAR Schedule is discontinuation of Kobalt Tools 500.  Auto Club 500 is also reduced to 400 miles renaming the event Auto Club 400.

NASCAR Schedule [2] of Events will be Dover 200 Nationwide Series scheduled for 1st October 2011 at 3.30 pm this will take place at Dover International Speedway.  Kentucky Camping World Truck series is also scheduled for October 1st and will commence at 8.00 pm at Kentucky Speedway while AAA 400 Sprint Cup is scheduled for October 2nd and will commence at 2.00 pm at Dover International Speedway.

Tickets are being bought up fast and it is recommended that you buy up tickets before it is too late.  NASCAR racing events offers you a relaxed afternoon of sheer pleasure with friend where you get to enjoy one of the foremost track events in the US and also in places like Lowes, Daytona, California, Texas and Talladega.  People who have attended a NASCAR event will tell you of the sheer pleasure in finding your seat pulsate as the colorful racing cars speed by.

This event that has been in existence since the late 1940’s only gets better each year.  Sprint Cup is the highest level event in NASCAR which needs to be witnessed at least once to make you resolve to come back year after year to experience the same thrill and sheet ecstasy.   No racing enthusiast would like to miss out on these events and if you do not want to be left out of the ‘race’ it is suggested that you book your tickets fast as the event is just around the corner.
