I have a 92 Acura Legend, and I’m wondering what is the best oil to use?
Big question of Ross : I have a 92 Acura Legend, and I’m wondering what the best oil to use
My 1992 Acura Legend is my baby with 176.000 miles and I’m really trying to see what I can get from there to the performance. I’m working on setting a fresh air intake and a new exhaust system, but before that, I’m ready for an oil change … My friend told me to go to synthetic oil of the engine clean and make it work better. He told me to change oil synthetic oil changes 3 then continue with a synthetic mixture. I am willing to pay money for it, but should I switch fully synthetic? If not, what should I use for performance? Thank you for your help! It is really appreciated! Well, thank you for your answers … Yes, there is a 92 and yes, it has 176k miles on it, but the engine will last another 100k 150k if taken out. The body is still in good condition, why not fix the problem? I do not think you ask a race or anything, just something where I can punch and has a really good shot … Even for oil makes a big difference in performance make a car. .. I’ll be using 5W-30 Mobil 1Meilleure stick response:

exactly what it calls for- 5w30
tricking out a car w/ 176K on it is just asking for trouble, even if it’s an Acura.
Synthetics won’t make it run better. How would oil make it run better? Make it slippery? If it were that easy, all of the auto manufacturers would be using it.
dont use synthetic oil because the engine have high milage and synthetic oil are way too think and will cause a oil leak. if it was my car i would just keep using the regular 10-30w oil or 5w-30w.
you have a high mileage car and NOW want to trick it up…hahahahahaha…funny…
manual says 5W30….use it or lose the engine.
