Venturi Astrolab

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Designed and built by a French car maker the venturi astrolab is designed for commercial marketing as per company sources.
The Venturi Astrolab is a sleek bodied two seater car that relies on solar energy for its power.

Another noteworthy feature is the ultra light and modern chassis that is responsible to provide the occupants in the vehicle at least some level of safety while traveling.

However as per analysts the price is too much for a car that is small and too cramped for a comfortable ride in heavy traffic. Though technology wise the price is good enough I don’t think there will be any takers for it looking at its design and price.

Though being advertised as a commuter class car I don’t fell that this machine will live up to the expectations of the public as it possess on a 68 mile running spree.

With a very simple and subtle design and no added features this EV will have to literally go out of its way to please customers.

Hybrid Cars

Now days with the ever increasing pollution something needs to be done so as to help release the strain which is put on the atmosphere due to emissions propelled into the air by the exhaust systems of our vehicles.

Hybrid vehicles are cars are the solution to this problem. Powered by green fuels that are not harmful to the environment these hybrid cars are setting the trend for a fully rejuvenated world in the long run.

By the use of hybrid vehicles not only are we contributing to the health of the environment we are also ensuring that our planet doesn’t get more polluted.
Leading car companies like Chrysler and GM have taken a lot of effort to roll out new cars and prototypes which they hope will find some attraction for the people of today.

Sleek designs and awesome safety features are some of the USP of these hybrid cars.

Fisker Karma

The gorgeous design incorporated by this car resembles a cross between the corvette and maserati.

The driving performance one experiences through this car is too good to match other rival sedan models.

The sporty look of the car is because of the luxurious contours and sleek body fins that enable it to slice though the air like a bullet.

Powered by the q drive technology this car enlists the help of a small gasoline motor to run a generator which in turn powers the battery for a smooth and mellow drive.

Though the price is high at about $80000, it doesn’t matter when you consider the fact that you are getting a diamond out of a coal mine.

This superb hybrid also has the option of being run on solar power if the user/customer desires it.

In short is would like to say that there is nothing better than the fisker and only one words truly describes it and it is juggernaut.

Hybrid car technologies

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Hybrid car technologies are generally used in cars and transport vehicles that are generally powered by green fuels like ethanol. They are also powered by batteries and solar panels.

These cars models especially the electric ones are powered by an onboard electric motor which can be charged at a charging station or at home. These electric motors may be of AC or DC type. Though AC motors are more preferred by people DC motors are generally used by those who transform their gas guzzling cars at home on their own.

Also the AC motors are expensive and the battery pack accompanying it take up a lot of space thus reducing efficiency and output drastically.

A better alternative is the DC motor that is user friendly in almost all aspects when compared with the AC motor.

As for the batteries used in these EV’s or electric vehicles they are of three types:

Lead acid, lithium ion and nickel metal hydride.

Technology and hybrid cars

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

Improvements in the car industry have led to a number of technologies and innovations to be put to use so as to lessen the harm being done to our planet.

Green fuels and battery powered cars are the talk of the day with many companies like Toyota, Chrysler and GM going out of their way to push these hybrid car models into the existing car market. As these cars are powered by green fuels and alternative fuel sources like electricity etc they do not pollute the air thus making our planet a little cleaner and greener.

As these cars have low speeds owing to their engine configurations and working fuel choices they earn a top spot where mileage is concerned.
Night vision, laser beams for guidance, inbuilt AI infrastructure, GPS and sleek futuristic designs are incorporated in these hybrid cars in hopes that they may attract prospective customers.
