I checked out a employed auto right now, it was an ACURA TL 2004 3.two LITER. The engine oil smelled like gas and supposedly it is undesirable. if the oil smells like fuel , id bet that you have a leaking injector or two (or six) replace all 6 injectors to make sure that you have a good set tat does not leak, start the car, if it is really hard to start again like it is now,…..
Stay away from it. Gas in the engine oil screws you in two different ways: Not only do you have an internal leak somewhere to find, but the gas mixing with the oil ruins the lubrication properties of the oil. The engine is spinning with gas-thinned oil in the bearings, so all the bearing in the engine could be wearing abnormally.
I agree with mr if the car isn’t yours don’t buy it!!!!!! You don’t know how long the owner has been driving the car like this or how much damage the gas in the oil has done to the engine internally. Especially don’t buy this car if your getting it from a private seller or small mom and pop dealership because it will either be sold as is or you will be fighting to get them you help pay for repairs. Do your self a favor and go find a different car.
